Grassy Mountain Coal Project
The federal government lays out plans for coal mines….Benga
Mining Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Riversdale Resources
Limited, is proposing to construct and operate an open-pit metallurgical
coal mine near the Crowsnest Pass, approximately seven kilometres north
of the community of Blairmore, in southwest Alberta. As proposed, the
production capacity of the project would be a maximum of 4.5 million
tonnes of processed coal per year, over a mine-life of about 25 years.
On Dec. 11 they presented their plans for:A Healthy Environment and a Healthy Economy
As
the Government of Canada continues to protect and support Canadians
through the COVID-19 pandemic, it is also important that the country
look to the future. Canadians want to see a growing middle class where
no one is left behind. They want a future where their kids and grandkids
have access to clean air and water. That future is within reach.
Collectively, Canada needs to accelerate climate action to get there.
