What could be considered the only move Andrew Scheer’s made since he was elected, certainly answers the question as to why his climate action plan has never been released. It’s a brilliant move, well thought out, and the timing couldn’t be more perfect. After Kenny’s win in Alberta, Trudeau’s SNC-Lavalin scandal, recent botched photo-shoot, where he was told to get out of the way, and a country reeling from increasing gas prices, Canadians want a change in fortunes, jobs and relief from debt.
With a blue wave sweeping across the country, this is the icing on the Tory cake. It will affect every province in Canada except for Nova Scotia. If one was to accidentally rub up against liberal premier Stephen McNeil and the red label fell to the floor, we would clearly see the blue underneath.
Many will feel this blue wave will be followed by a wave of prosperity for the country. Unfortunately as the caps get lifted from green house gas emissions and our commitment to the Paris agreement gets thoroughly trashed, at the end of the next four years we will find ourselves sadly disappointed.
