Crews, officials across B.C. prepare for wildfire season as first big blazes flare up | CBC News
A fire north of Squamish, believed to be human caused, is now burning over 50 hectares, according to the wildfire service’s latest update Tuesday evening.
Fire crews are also dealing with two grass fires that ignited over the weekend just west of Chase, in the Interior. They quickly grew to 100 hectares (one square kilometre) and 250 hectares (2½ square kilometres), respectively.
