The Halifax-based non-profit released an
economic costs and benefits analysis by Gardner Pinfold Consultants on
Tuesday. It includes six goals that officials with the group say can
bring emissions to 50 per cent below 1990 levels by 2030 while creating
15,000 green jobs a year and adding $816 million to the economy in the
process.
“We’ve run out of time to get this right,” said Stephen Thomas, the Ecology Action Centre’s energy campaign co-ordinator.
