Nova Scotia Aquaculture Minister Keith Colwell says most Nova Scotians Are Not Worth $15/hr
Gary Burrill, leader of the NDP in Nova Scotia has been trying to get the minimum wage increased in Nova Scotia.
In a 2016 report by the
Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives (CCPA), ot says “people in Halifax should earn $19.17 per
hour in order to provide for their family and live a somewhat
comfortable life. For people who live in the Town and Municipality of Antigonish that hourly wage is $17.30.”
