Alberta’s government is promising more economic investment is being made in the province.

Devastating flooding, mudslides and strong winds in British Columbia have prompted officials to declare a provincial state of emergency, as work continues to clean up and recover while thousands remain displaced from their homes.

The province’s transportation minister says Alberta is ready to offer support to flood ravaged British Columbia.

The federal government will be lifting the PCR test requirement for fully vaccinated travellers returning to Canada after short trips, CTV News has confirmed. It is not yet clear when this change of border requirements will come into effect. Molecular tests will still be required for trips longer than 72 hours.
