Open tuning, like for the key of D would be D, A, D, F#, A, and D. Right? Sometimes we use what’s called a Dropped D on the guitar, but I very seldom do Open tunings.
Like Keith Richards does open G tuning to play Honky Tonk Woman. That’s cool. But I don’t think he’s using a resonator guitar.
