Environment and Climate Change Minister Jonathan Wilkinson recently stated his goal is to release a new climate plan by the end of the year. He maintains that carbon pricing is the most efficient way of reducing emissions, even though there is a body of evidence which suggests otherwise.

Both the federal and provincial levels of government plan to use oil revenue to finance a green transition. However, the most recent climate policy research indicates that this is not advisable.

Some Canadians making permanent move to Atlantic bubble over COVID-19 | CBC News: There is evidence more Canadians are relocating — in some cases, moving to the Atlantic region from other parts of the country.

At U-Haul rental locations throughout New Brunswick and Nova Scotia, trucks, vans and trailers are piling up in record numbers. There is an increase in people moving to the region from Ontario and Quebec in particular.

Megan Holwell, a realtor with Royal LePage Atlantic, said she’s seen growing interest from outside the region.

“Mainly what’s making me so busy is I have several out-of-province buyers that are looking to relocate because of COVID,” she said. “That was a huge draw for them.”

With people increasingly working from home, Holwell said buyers are more flexible with where they can live.

Jobs recovery from COVID-19 gained steam in September, with 378,000 new hires | CBC News: September’s
