The federal Liberal government has said it would consider exempting new oilsands developments if Kenney maintains a cap on emissions from the sector.
The premiers said Canada must continue to develop its natural resources in a “responsible manner and ensure access to markets for Canada’s products” — a thinly-veiled reference to pipeline projects that will carry Canada’s oil and gas to markets abroad.

unemployment rates in Ontario are at their lowest point in the past 10
years, but precarious and temporary jobs and low wages are resulting in
struggling families.

The non-profit has released its first four bulletins as part of a 15-part series.
The reports show quickly rising rental prices that demand a greater
percentage of people’s incomes and how evictions for reasons other than
non-payment further the problem.
